Bank Misr and Misr El-Kheir Foundation have inked agreements to digitalize all financial payments and collections for the foundation and to organize specialized medical convoys for people with special needs in five governorates.
This collaboration highlights Bank Misr's leading role in electronic payments and corporate social responsibility. The two cooperation protocols aim to automate all financial transactions for Misr El-Kheir, fostering digital transformation and financial inclusion. Additionally, five specialized medical convoys will be dispatched to support people with special needs in Dakahlia, Sharqia, Alexandria, Beheira, and Minya governorates. The protocols were signed by Mr. Hisham Okasha, CEO of Bank Misr, and Dr. Ali Gomaa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Misr El-Kheir Foundation. High-ranking officials from both organizations, including Mr. Hussam El-Din Abdel Wahab, Deputy CEO of Bank Misr, and Dr. Mohamed Refaei, CEO of Misr El-Kheir Foundation, attended the signing ceremony.
The protocol for automating financial operations aligns with Egypt's push towards a cashless society and the broader adoption of electronic payment systems. This move will enable Misr El-Kheir to manage its financial interactions with stakeholders in real-time, ensuring transparency and providing integrated banking solutions. This initiative is a key part of Bank Misr's digital transformation strategy, aiming to simplify payment processes for citizens through advanced technological services.
The second protocol focuses on delivering integrated and free medical services through specialized convoys for individuals with special needs. These services include early disease detection, treatment, and rehabilitation, all designed to improve their health and quality of life. The convoys will also offer psychological and social support to beneficiaries. This aligns with Bank Misr's commitment to social responsibility and Egypt's Vision 2030, which seeks to integrate and empower people with disabilities, ensuring equal opportunities in education, employment, healthcare, and social inclusion, while also raising public awareness of their rights and capabilities.
Mr. Hisham Okasha emphasized that this partnership underscores Bank Misr's dedication to advancing electronic payments and supporting community development, particularly in the health sector. He commended Misr El-Kheir Foundation's effectiveness in reaching those in need and stressed Bank Misr's commitment to fostering partnerships among government, civil, and private sectors to create a successful model for societal development.
Dr. Ali Gomaa stated that these protocols are a continuation of the strategic cooperation between Misr El-Kheir and Bank Misr, marking a new phase in sustainable development. He highlighted the positive impact of automating financial operations on digital transformation and financial inclusion, which will save time and reduce risks associated with cash handling.
Dr. Gomaa also noted Misr El-Kheir's goal to expand medical convoys for people with disabilities and to enhance their access to health, social, economic, sports, and cultural opportunities. He added that the collaboration with Bank Misr is a source of pride, given the bank's long-standing national significance, and extends for one year with plans for further sub-protocols.
Bank Misr remains dedicated to contributing to Egypt's development and prosperity by actively participating in initiatives that cater to the needs of all community segments, aligning with Egypt's Vision 2030.
