In alignment with Banque Misr's commitment as a leading banking institution to deliver services tailored to citizens' needs, the bank recently inked cooperation protocols in the realms of electronic payment and collection with the Civil Status Sector in Abbasiya. The signing ceremony took place on Sunday, November 12, 2023, with the presence of Major General Omar Al-Khazindar - Assistant Minister of Interior and Head of the Civil Status Sector in Abbasiya.
Mr. Akef El-Maghraby, Vice Chairman of Banque Misr, and Major General Mostafa Mahfouz, Director of the General Department of the Presidency of the Civil Status Sector, led the signing of the protocols. The event saw the attendance of Major General Marwan Al-Samahi, Undersecretary of the General Department of Systems and Information in the Civil Status Sector, Mr. Ehab Dorra, Head of Branches and Retail Banking Sector at Banque Misr, Mr. Moataz Mutawa, Head of Retail Banking Sector at Banque Misr, Mr. Amr Hashem, Head of Banking Operations Sector at Banque Misr, along with a distinguished group of leaders from the bank and the Civil Status Sector.
Under the electronic payment protocol, Banque Misr will deploy Point of Sale (POS) machines via mobile service vehicles of the Civil Status Sector and install ATMs at key locations within the sector. Additionally, as per the direct inquiry protocol, Banque Misr will establish a real-time direct inquiry service, enabling immediate access to customers' national ID data in collaboration with the Civil Status Sector.
These protocols underscore Banque Misr's leading position in the electronic payments arena. The bank has pioneered electronic collection services using QR codes, fostering digital transformation by offering electronic solutions for enhanced customer convenience.
