Promoting the state's efforts to achieve financial inclusion, Banque Misr will participate in the financial inclusion event during the period 15-31 October 2022, in celebration of "World Savings Day" under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt, due to the bank's belief in the importance of achieving financial inclusion which aims to enable all segments of Egyptian society to access to the financial products and services that meet their different needs, for instance, savings accounts, current accounts, payment and transfer services, insurance, finance and credit, and the bank was keen, on the occasion of "World Savings Day", to provide many free benefits and offers that serve all customers.
It should be noted that the most important offers offered by the bank through this event include opening accounts for new customers free of charge and without a minimum amount to open the account, in addition to the issuance of Meeza Debit Card for free, as for customer below 16 years old, they will be exempted from the charges of issuing the prepaid card "TEENS", that is offered within the youth program, as for customer of 16-35 years old, the account will be opened with the issuance Debit Card that is offered within youth program (BM or GO card) for free, also, customers of 21-35 years old can obtain a credit card to be specified in accordance with the credit limit granted to the customer, the policy and the Bank's credit terms, as for customers who uses Banque Misr e-wallet application, a percentage of 20% of the first financial movement will be cash-backed with the application of the regulating conditions of that, also, the bank is keen through these events to be present outside its branches and to promote its products under the umbrella of financial inclusion, to reach remote and marginalized areas that are far from the main centers, in which the presence of banking financial services providers is low.
It's worth noting that Banque Misr is one of the first banks that contributed to financial education and inclusion in Egypt since its inception in 2014 under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt, through its membership in the national committee for financial education and its support for the national initiative for financial education "3alashan Bokra", which was aiming at educating all segments of society financially, seeking to integrate those who are not engaged with the financial sector and eradicate the informal economy, through all the events that contributed to what we have today of positive and promising results and other important events and initiatives, and Banque Misr works in parallel on several axes, including giving continuous attention to financial education for customers and non-clients through many initiatives in cooperation with all concerned parties and focusing on the categories (women, youth, entrepreneurs), and Banque Misr works with its full capacity to develop and introduce banking products that suit all age groups and in line with the current technological development, to keep abreast of customers' aspirations as well as to take into account marginalized groups "not engaged with banks" in an effort to include them and reach financial inclusion.
Banque Misr also continues its efforts to spread knowledge of financial inclusion and financial culture, and introduce banking products and services to the university and school students, in addition to adopting several programs for financial education and inclusion, for example, supporting SME owners within the "Nile Entrepreneurs" initiative under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt, which aims to support young entrepreneurs and encourage startups in different economic sectors by providing support to them.
