In its leading role supporting digital transformation and financial inclusion, Banque Misr signed a joint cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Expanding Financial Services for Youth
Under this protocol, Banque Misr will provide a range of financial solutions to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This includes establishing bank branches within youth centers and organizations, and providing ATM machines there. Additionally, "Meeza" cards will be distributed, and electronic wallets will be issued for free at all youth centers. This will facilitate financial transactions for young people and make it easier for them to access modern banking services.
A Commitment to Financial Inclusion and Digital Transformation
This collaboration reconfirms the vital role banking institutions play in supporting the state's efforts to achieve financial inclusion. The protocol reflects Banque Misr's commitment to reaching new segments of citizens, especially youth, and integrating them into the formal financial system. This aligns with the state's strategy for digital transformation and achieving the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030.
Empowering Youth through Financial Inclusion
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, emphasized that achieving financial inclusion and digitization within the youth and sports sector is a direction strongly supported by the political leadership. This is part of the state's endeavor to build the Egyptian individual on modern scientific and economic foundations, and to provide equal opportunities for everyone, especially the youth of the New Republic.
The Minister of Youth added that the political leadership, led by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, places utmost importance on youth empowerment. They consistently direct efforts to provide tools that help young people innovate, produce, and engage effectively in development, and youth centers are the primary incubators for this vision.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy pointed out that the Ministry of Youth and Sports operates according to a comprehensive national vision, based on integration between state institutions and the banking sector, to create a supportive environment for youth. This is embodied by the cooperation protocol with Banque Misr as a successful model for cooperation between the governmental and financial sectors. He affirmed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports believes that financial inclusion is an integral part of building the Egyptian individual and enhancing their capabilities in the New Republic, and "through these partnerships, we work to achieve real and sustainable benefits for our youth in all fields."
Sobhy stressed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports will spare no effort in transforming youth centers into comprehensive platforms that offer modern sports, cultural, awareness, and financial services, with the support and guidance of the political leadership that places youth at the heart of its national agenda. He noted that the signing of this protocol comes in light of the Egyptian state's directives towards enhancing digital transformation and financial inclusion, and is a strategic step to empower youth economically and financially by providing modern and secure banking services within youth centers spread across various governorates of the Republic.
