Banque Misr launches the “Al-Momken” program for clients with distinguished capabilities, “People with Disabilities”

Banque Misr launches the “Al-Momken” program to facilitate the access to banking services and products for customers with distinguished capabilities, “People with Disabilities”, through a distinctive banking experience. This is in line with the State’s orientation and the initiative of the Central Bank of Egypt to empower people with disabilities and enhance their community participation to make them active people in society and overcome the difficulties they may face, which is considered as a support of the State’s efforts to achieve financial inclusion. Through this program, two new savings accounts are offered in the bank under the name “Al-Momken Savings Account with Special Return Rate”, which is available in all the bank’s branches throughout the Republic, and the “Al-Momken Investment Savings Account with Special Return Rate”, which is available in the branches of Banque Misr for Islamic Transactions "Kenana". Both saving accounts are characterized by a return of 1% higher than the return on other savings accounts, issuing the debit card for free to deal on the account through ATMs throughout the Republic, as well as the possibility of using it in commercial outlets, in addition to obtaining exemptions and discounts from some special expenses for Islamic loan / financing products.

 

Moreover, Banque Misr, through “Al-Momken” Program, facilitates the access to banking services and products for people with distinguished capabilities without discrimination in a way that supports financial inclusion to facilitate transactions of customers with motor disabilities and provide them with the necessary comfort. The number of branches equipped to receive clients with disabilities has reached about 200 branches, equipped with (ramps or electric wheelchair service). "Al-Momken" Program also includes the deaf, dumb and hard of hearing customer service and overcoming the obstacles they face by training a dedicated team of customer service and reception to deal with the sign method in cooperation with the Egyptian Banking Institute under the slogan "Shawer", with a number of up to 500 branches of Banque Misr, as an initial stage, and the rest of the branches are being completed, in addition to trained cadres of customer service to deal with our clients with disabilities in about 290 branches of our Bank.

 

It is worth noting that Banque Misr has provided a larger number of ATMs designated for people with disabilities who suffer from motor disabilities or the blind and visually impaired persons. The number of equipped ATMs has reached about 160 ATMs equipped to deal by clients with motor disabilities who uses wheelchairs. It is worth noting that Banque Misr is working to provide up to 2,000 ATMs dedicated to people with disabilities and the blind and visually impaired persons, by the end of 2022. The bank has also provided many different facilities for people with disabilities, whether with regard to providing banking products or services, as the bank gradually explains its services through sign language to make it easier for people of disabilities who suffer from hearing disabilities. The bank also often provides an audio explanation of products for those with visual impairments in order to easily provide them with banking operations. In addition, the Bank also provides convenience for them when they are in branches, and facilitate their tasks through serving them faster without waiting.

Banque Misr always seeks to enhance the excellence of its services to serve and meet all the needs of the various segments of society and to provide services and products that meet the needs of all clients. The Bank commits to overcome all the difficulties that the clients with disabilities and distinguished capabilities may face, to provide them with a distinguished banking experience, as an integral part of the society. This is considered as a support of the State's efforts that urge improving the level of all services provided to such group of service sectors in the State and work to integrate them into society, in order to help them reach a better standard of life and achieve financial inclusion. The bank is also keen to participate in all the activities launched by the Central Bank of Egypt to achieve financial inclusion, including; the Financial Inclusion Event (International Day of People with Disabilities), through which it provides many offers and benefits.
