"Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development and Welfare" resumes supporting The Integrated Development Project of the Egyptian Village and signs a cooperation protocol of Comprehensive Village Development project for Markaz Juhyna - Sohag governorate
Mr. Mohamed Al Etreby , BM CEO and the head of "Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development and Welfare" board of trustees, signed a cooperation protocol with "Omar Bin Abd El Aziz" association in order to carry out the second phase of The Comprehensive Village Development project in Markaz Juhyna - Sohag governorate. The protocol signing was attended by Dr. Ali Al Saeedi , the deputy head of "Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development and Welfare" board of trustees, as well as Dr. Rashad Al Kobessy and Dr. Ahmed Abu Hassoub , Omar Bin Abd El Aziz Association's board members. The project aims at improving the quality of life for inhabitants on different levels including: the educational, the medical, the economic and the cultural levels along two years.
The project targets enhancing the medical centre of Talaat Harb with external clinics (Gastroenterology, Dermatology, Orthopedics, Ordinary X-ray room, Pediatrics and medical lab) in addition to organizing medical convoys of different specializations and special seminars for spreading health, medical and environmental awareness.
The project also improves the economic standard for 280 young men and women in Markaz Juhyna villages through implementing craft training programs in addition to carrying out small projects as well as sheep breading project for 240 unprivileged families. Developing and raising the educational level as well as improving the educational environment inside governmental schools are considered top priorities for the project. This will be implemented through carrying out infrastructure work for two governmental schools, performing simple maintenance work for 30 schools, furnishing 5 kindergarten classes and providing 10 kindergartens with basic means and games to attract the kids.
The project is to develop and provide knowledge rooms in schools with necessary devices including computers and monitors in addition to carrying out a scientific program for raising students' achievement levels, activating the industrial, agricultural and home economics activities in schools through equipping the school rooms in order to implant the respect of handworks in students in early ages. The project also targets training teachers on computer programs to be qualified for displaying the educational curriculums through using modern strategies.
The signing of this protocol indicates that Banque Misr is highly concerned with the social responsibility role. For this reason, it takes a huge part in the comprehensive development of the Egyptian family through "Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development and Welfare" that took part in carrying out the development of Egyptian villages including Tafnees, Asfoun and Al Gharyera in Luxor governorate, Al Hammas, Al Horayzat Al Gharbeya and Al Zouk in Sohag governorate, four villages in Markaz Menouf in Menoufia Governorate, Adwa in Aswan governorate and Hawarah in Fayoum starting in 2012.
