In order to enhance the efforts of the state in achieving financial inclusion, Banque Misr is participating in the financial inclusion event during the period from 1 to 15 of September 2022, in celebration of "Farmer’s Day " under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt. This comes from the bank's belief in the importance of achieving financial inclusion, which aims to enable all segments of society to access financial products and services that meet their various needs, for example; savings accounts, current accounts, payment and transfer services, insurance, finance and credit. It also comes from the bank’s keenness, on the occasion of " Farmer’s Day ", to provide many free benefits and offers that serve all customers.
It is worth mentioning that the most prominent benefits and free offers provided by the bank during this event are; opening accounts for new customers without expenses, and without a minimum to open accounts, and the issuance of a Meeza card for instant debit or a classic card for instant debit for free. For customers under 16 years old they are exempted from the expenses of issuing a prepaid card within the youth program, as for customers from the age of 16 to 35 years accounts are opened with the issuance of the debit card granted within the youth program for free, and customers from the age of 21 to 35 years can also get a credit card the type of which is determined according to the credit limit granted to the customer and the bank’s policy and credit conditions. As for customers using the Banque Misr e-wallet application, 20% of the initial financial transaction is refunded with the application of the terms and conditions. During these events the bank is keen to be outside its branches and promote its products under The umbrella of financial inclusion, and access to remote and marginalized areas that are far from the main centers and where the presence of financial banking service providers is low.
Banque Misr is always keen to enhance the state's efforts to achieve financial inclusion by participating in many initiatives and protocols that will serve the members of the community. In particular those initiatives launched by the Central Bank of Egypt, including the campaigns to support financial inclusion that aim to reach the largest number of citizens and reach all segments of society in order to integrate them into the official financial system. As well as supporting women through the provision of various financial services and supporting entrepreneurs who are owners of microenterprises. This contributes significantly to supporting the Egyptian economy and raising individuals’ living standards.
The Bank also continues its efforts to spread awareness of financial inclusion and financial culture, and introduce banking products and services to university and school students. In addition to adopting several programs for education and financial inclusion, for example, supporting the owners of small and medium enterprises within the "Nile Pioneers" initiative under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt, which aims to support young entrepreneurs and encourage startups in various economic sectors by providing support to them.
